If you are going to use a lube plate like theLube Plate for Elite Series and Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 12" Diameter
# RP83001 or the Curt Lube Plate for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 12" Diameter # C16722 you won't need to use grease to lubricate your fifth wheel head.
For your lube points I recommend the LubriMatic White Lithium Grease - 14 oz. Cartridge # L11354.
If you need a grease gun we carry some like the Heavy Duty Grease Gun - Lever Action - Aluminum # PTW54290.
For maintenance I recommend checking your torque settings on all bolts and removing any rust/oxidation and keeping a good coat of paint on the surfaces to prevent future rusting. If you have a grease points make sure they have been greased. Check all cables, chains, all moving parts and mating surfaces for damage.
You can call your local RV dealer and get information on services they provide to keep your RV out of any precarious situations.
