Where to Measure When Picking Out Fifth Wheel Trailer Height

Question:

I just purchased a 2020 Ford F450. I am looking at buying a BandW RVK3305. The truck bed floor height is 37.5 inches from level surface. My king pin is at 44.5 inches from level surface. According to your recommendation, the saddle of the hitch in the truck bed should be 7 inches in height. This is not possible with any 5th wheel hitch manufacturer. What do you recommend?

Did you take this measurement from the bottom of the king pin or the bottom of the king pin plate? If you took the measurement from the bottom of the king pin and not the plate that would explain the height difference issue you are having. The part # BWRVK3305 is adjustable from 16-3/4 - 18-3/4 inches.
