We can definitely get you setup for towing. This will be a two step process. You will have to install a 4-way connector first, then you would install the 7-pin connector. My first recommendation is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118578. The nice thing about this wiring harness is that it is plug and play, meaning that you will not have to splice any wires to get this installed. It will just plug into your existing lighting, simplifying some of this installation. Once you get this installed, then you can move to the 7-way connector installation.

The next step to this process is adding the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7. Some trailers use a 7-way connector and others will still use a 4-way connector. You will have the use of both with this item. It also comes with a bracket to attach it to your hitch receiver.

Lastly, I recommend you have some dielectric grease and a circuit tester handy. The Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz., part # 11755, will help protect your connections from corrosion and moisture. You can test the electrical connections after the installations with the Circuit Tester Kit, part # PTW2993.

I have included product description links, two helpful articles about trailer wiring, and video links below. One of the videos is an installation of the T-One wiring harness on a 2018 Toyota RAV-4.
