The main difference between the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e25TR and the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # EH34FR is the weight capacities. The # e25TR has a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500lbs and maximum tongue weight capacity of 350lbs while the # EH34FR has a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500lbs and maximum tongue weight capacity of 525lbs.
Both hitches are hidden with just the receiver tube and safety chain loops visible, but the # EH34FR will require a bit more trimming of the fascia to install than the # e25TR. The # EH34FR is made of recycled materials for a more environmentally friendly hitch. Both use a black powder coating finish for superior rust protection.
Of the two I would personally choose the # e25TR for matte black paint job that will hide scratches and dings much better than the # EH34FR.
Note: The towing capacity of the hitch does not increase the towing capacity of your vehicle. For example, if your manual states you only have a maximum towing capacity of 3,000lbs but the hitch has a 4,000lb capacity you still have to follow the 3,000lb capacity listed in the manual.
If you need ball mount I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500lbs # 989900. It's a good starter kit with a 1-7/8 Inch Ball and 2 Inch Ball for the trailers that you could be towing with your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon.
