Replacement 7-Way/Wiring Harness for 1998 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
Hello, I want to replace damaged trailer wiring on the back of my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500. Pollak 11-933-P Rectangular-to-Round Harness Adaptor and Pollak 11-893P RV 7-Way Socket Oem Style Are these the correct parts to connect the factory Ram trailer wiring/plug?

Expert Reply:
If your 7-way was factory installed (you can tell by looking for the Mopar logo of the cover for the 7-way), it will have the rectangular connector used by the # PK11933 which would plug into the factory connector.
For a replacement 7-way connector, use part # PK11893, or as an alternative that includes a 4-pole connector, you could use # HM40975-11933 which includes the 7-way as well as the # PK11933 harness and a mounting bracket.
If you don't have the rectangular connector under the rear of the truck, you can use # HM40975-11998.
