M105A2 Electric Brake Conversion
Question:
I saw a previous question along these lines but I need to confirm the parts I will need. I have a F-350 with a 7-blade connector and I just want to convert my trailer brakes to electric. I’m not trying to change the axle or anything. Thank you for your help,

Thanks for the picture! The brakes you were looking at the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" item # AKEBRK-7-SA will fit your trailer if you have a 12 x 2" inch drum and either a 14-1/2", 15", or 16" wheel. They are made for axles from 5,200 lbs- 7,000 lbs. You will also need the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box # HS381-9000. This kit allows you to upgrade to a 7-way connector to control your electric brakes. Pre-wired, 7-way, blade-style, trailer-end connector lets you connect your trailer to your vehicle. The flexible cable allows for easy positioning. You will need to run wire to your brake assemblies and I recommend the item # 10-2-1 which is sold by the foot to connect these assemblies to your 7-way.
