Can Dutton Lainson TW4015 Electric Winch Be Powered From Vehicle's 7-way Trailer Connector

Can I change the 20 ft. strap that comes with the winch to a 25 ft. strap? Does the power need to come directly from the vehicles battery or can the round trailer plug in of a Ford F 150 be used?

You could use a 25' x 2" strap like part # DL24249.
The maximum power draw of the Dutton-Lainson # TW4015 StrongArm winch is 40 amps, which would blow the fuse/circuit breaker on the 12-V feed to the 7-way of most vehicles, which is usually protected by a 30A breaker, and the winch could exceed that.
The best practice would be to use a quick connect harness like part # DL24151 and wire the winch directly to the vehicle battery.
