Question:

Will this fit a dexter 3500# axle? I need to replace a spindle, bearings, backing plate, and drum.

As long as you've got a 3500-lbs EZ Lube axle then you can use the #84 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Brake Flange for 3,500-lb Trailer Axle - 1-3/4" Diameter # TRU74FR to replace your spindle; if you don't have EZ lube axles then you'll want to use the #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 1-3/4" Diameter # TRU64FR and Brake Mounting Flange for 1-3/4" Round Trailer Axles - 2K # 4-34. Both of these spindles take # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings.

To replace the hubs you'll want to use something like the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 # 84546UC3, which has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. I've linked our entire selection of 3500-lbs hub and drums that use the # L68149 and # L44649 bearings for you to check out and allow you to match your existing bolt pattern so that you won't also need new wheels.

For brakes, you'll need 10 inch brakes to fit in the drums; I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA siince they're self adjusting and won't require any adjusting once they're installed. These brakes do not come with mounting hardware included so you'll also need the # BRKH10B.

You'll want to check out the hub selection linked to this page, but I've also linked some review and installation videos for you to check out as well.
