Am I Overloading My 2019 Ford F-250 When I Am Towing My 5th Wheel

Question:

Hi all. Last year I purchased, from you, a Demco slide hitch, I believe it was the DM8550024. Im now questioning the rating of my truck. Truck rides great and sits level when hooked. I have a close friend who has the same truck but a lot larger 5th wheel camper / toy hauler that he loads up. He feels that its a non-issue but I look into things a bit more. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

You are well within the limits of your 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty and the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 18K, part # DM8550024. If your truck is riding great and your 5th wheel is level while you are towing, you are ahead of the game. Your 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty is rated to tow up to somewhere between 13,000 lbs and 18,000 lbs in 5th wheel applications. Your Reflection 2021 Grand Design Reflection 29RS 5th Wheel has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 11,495 lbs, which is below the maximum your truck can tow.
