etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit Verification With Spare Tire On a 2021 Toyota Highlander LE
Question:
Hi, Im thinking of getting receiver # e75ZR for my 2021 Toyota Highlander. It says it fits the car but theres a note about the spare tire possibly in the way. I sent a picture showing the spare and the bumper area. What do you think?

To determine if there will be any issues with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR and your spare tire you will just need to check and see what size spare tire you have. If the spare tire has a 18" or smaller wheel that it is mounted on then you know the receiver will fit your 2021 Toyota Highlander LE.
While the area available between your spare tire and the rear bumper does appear to be very small the spare tire does have some play in the mount that holds it in place. That is why it is best to check your wheel and tire size versus any measurement of the area.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR to give you a 4-way flat connector. With this connector you can operate the tail lights on most small trailers as well as have Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any bike rack or cargo carrier you might use to allow the drivers behind you to have lights that they can clearly see. The 4-way is best held in place with the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001
