To install the base of your B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3305 into your 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty 8'bed with Ford puck system you'll first turn the handles until they face outwards from the hitch towards the bedrails of your truck. Then line up the feet with the puck holes and turn the levers back towards the hitch. Once the handles are back in the locked position you can insert your pin and clip to prevent them from unlocking.
Now that the base is in you can install the head of your hitch by dropping it down on the pivot arms. You should hear it lock into place and then you can insert the locking pins (see attached picture) to lock the head into the pivot arms and insert the cotter pins in the locking pins to prevent them from coming out.
If you are wanting to deter theft then I recommend running a cable lock # e98891 through the jaws of the hitch head and through the base and then locking the jaws with a padlock # ML140DLH on the handle.
