How to Lock a B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch in a Turnover Ball Gooseneck System

Question:

I am wondering if you know of the best or anyway that you can lock the BandW gooseneck 5th wheel hitch to the bed to help prevent theft? Not the puck system. Thanks you.

Thanks for the picture! I have a couple of solutions for securing your B&W Companion item # BWRVK3500-5W to your 2022 Ram 3500 but B&W does not make it easy to secure their 5th wheel hitches to their Turnover Ball Systems item # BWGNRK1320. To secure the base to your Ram truck you will want to use the Malone LockUp Cable Lock item # MPG356. You will be able to route the cable lock through the safety chain loops of the Turnover Ball System and the handle openings in the base of the hitch.

To secure the head to the base you will want to use the Master Lock Brass Padlock item # ML140DLH you were looking at. Once you take the safety pin out you will be able to insert the padlock into the 3/8" hole to secure the head to the base. I have attached a picture below.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56070. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
