Will the Curt 14055 or the Draw-Tite 41945 Extend Past the Bumper Further on an 06 E-350?
Question:
I have a 2006 e350 Super Duty Extended Van It has a rear bumper with a place for a ball but I need a hitch that sticks out close to even with the bottom others bumper. Comparing hitches 41945 and 14055 Wich both show no drilling, which one sticks out further or do you have a better recommendation? I need at least 10000 tow and 12000 distributed or better with as much tongue weight capacity.

Expert Reply:
The Curt # 14055 will actually sit just about flush with the edge of the bumper once installed on your 2006 Ford E-350. Though this will meet the weight capacities you need, if you are looking for something to completely clear the bumper, it will fall a little short. No pun intended.
On the other hand, once the Draw-Tite # 41945 is installed, the center of the hitch pin hole will extend out 1-1/2 inches from the edge of the bumper. This is also the highest rated hitch we have available for your vehicle and if you needed the extra length at the end of the hitch, it will definitely be my recommendation.
