4 Inch High-Low Drop used with Cargo Carrier
Question:
Could I use item# RM-070 with a cargo carrier? I have a fixed cargo carrier that Id like to raise a few inches 4 or 6 because it sits right in front of my dual exhaust. The cargo carrier is mounted to my 2 hitch. I would also like to use RM-070 with a folding shank. Please let me know if this item could be used for my needs. 2008 Suzuki XL7 Thanks

I would not use part # RM-070 with your cargo carrier. It is meant for use with a towbar while towing a vehicle on all 4 wheels and does not have a weight capacity suitable for cargo carriers.
The part that would work for your application is part # V75090. It has a tongue capacity of 500 pounds, meaning that the total weight of your cargo carrier and cargo cannot exceed 500 lbs. It will provide 6 inches of rise to get your carrier away from the exhaust.
