Can Ground of Curt Trailer Taillight Converter C56196 Run to Trailer Wiring Ground

Question:

I have a 2020 GMC 1500 and want to wire a light bar to be able to haul our ebikes on the back. I have purchased the 56196 converter and was looking for wiring instructions. I have a ground wire from my truck, and also one for the lights on the light bar. Can I connect these together along with the white wire from the converter or do I need to do something else. I know the taillights are wired seperate. I also have back up/reverse lights as well and will be wired seperate. Can you point me in the right direction. Thanks.

You can use your trailer wiring's ground to ground the converter part # C56196 that you referernced.

Then for the rest of the wiring you'd run the yellow wire of the converter to the left turn/stop circuit, and the green to the right stop/turn and you'd be set for the input side. On output yellow goes to left turn, green goes to right turn, and red is dedicated stoplight.
