Can I Swap Hitches from Multiple Vehicles When I need to Tow with a Different Vehicle
Question:
I town three cars that are older. 1998 mercury Grand Marquis, 1990 Ford Taurus and a 2002 Ford Escape. My boat and trailer and engine weigh 1800 pounds. Can I install the Draw-Tite 75118 to either or both of the Mercury and the Taurus?

Expert Reply:
Part # 75118 will only fit a 2001-2004 Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute. It is not swappable onto a 1990 Taurus or 1998 Grand Marquis.
The best hitch we have for towing a boat with your 1998 Mercurcy Grand Marquis is a Class III hitch, part # 13707.
The strongest hitch available for a 1990 Ford Taurus is a Class II. Our most popular Class II for your vehicle is part # C12232. Please note, Class I and II are 1-1/4 inch receiver openings.
