Recommendation on a Lightweight 5th Wheel Hitch for Short Box 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING A 33FT FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER IAM LOOKING FOR A LIGHT WEIGHT HITCH FOR IN MY TRUCK MOST HITCHES ARE TO HEAVY FOR ME TO HANDLE WILL ANDERSON CONNECTION AM 3200 WORK IN MY CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 WITH A 5FT 11 INCH LONG BED

We do have a solution for you but it is not the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter, # AM3200. While this is a great hitch for specific purposes, primarily for lighter weight rigs and utility/work trailers it unfortunately will not work for your application in a short bed truck. For your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a short bed you will either need a hitch mounted in the truck along with a rotating turret type pin box on the RV to make turning clearances, or, a slide hitch with fixed pin box. While the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter, # AM3200 is a fixed base, it is also an adapter and per manufacturer not to be used with rotating pin boxes or with trucks that have a bed length less than 6 feet.
However, we have the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550043. This particular model will mount to ISR rails, which if you do not already have in your 2018 Chevy, I suggest the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # BWRVK2503. These custom-fit brackets mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame to minimize drilling, measuring and reducing installation time. This also avoids known obstacles along your truck's frame. With these base rails you can use the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitch, # DM8550043, that is a lightweight above the bed mounted hitch rated a 21K and has a total weight of only 100 lbs. It is a lightweight two piece design making installation and removal quick and easy. There's a large pin that if you pull out you can take the head out of the yolk, and then remove each piece separately. It's very simple for one person to remove everything.
You will also need a wedge such as the # SWW-05, or similar device to use the Demco Recon with rotating type pin box. The exact needed wedge is dependent on what pin box you have. Please let me know what is currently installed on the 5th wheel trailer you intend to purchase that I may make best recommendation.
