Recommended ST145/R12 Replacement Tire for Camper
Question:
Can I replace the st145r12 tires on my pop up camper with 4.80-12 tires? These seem smaller and idk if they’re gonna be safe to pull on my 6 hour trip to Tennessee in two weeks

If you replace your existing ST145/R12 tires with 4.80-12 tires like the # AM10062 Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80-12 - Load Range C they will fit the same 12 inch wheel with a 4 inch width. The 4.80-12 tires will be about 0.8 inches smaller in diameter. However, this is not necessary since we have ST145/R12 replacement tires.
I recommend the # AM10140 Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire. This tire has automotive-grade tread and has a ply rating of 10 with a 1,520-lb max load at 80 psi. It is constructed of double steel belts and full nylon plies.
I have attached a video review for your reference.
