Will Reese Trunion 58098 fit my Older Reese Weight Distribution System
Question:
I just bought a 1995 HI-LO trailer with a Reese style trunnion WDS. One of the nubs on a trunnion bar is broken off so I need a new Trunnion and pin. The bar says it is a V-5 with a 750LB frame hitch 1 1/8 spring barand a Gross trailer rating of 10,000 LBS. I notice you have a replacement trunnion rated 600 and 800 lbs. Can I use this replacement part or is there another one that is the correct one? If available can you give me the part number so I can order one from you.

Part # 58098 is the correct part as long as the spring bars have the curved end that connects to the chain. I spoke with my contact at Reese and if it is a curved end spring bar, it should fit the new trunions.
Since one of your trunions has broken, I would suggest replacing both. The second may not be far behind the first.
