Will the RockyMounts MonoRail # RKY10003 Hold My Two E-Bikes on My Tesla Model 3 without Safely?
Question:
Your RKY 100003 looks very good for my two RAD Mission ebikes on the hitch recently attached on my Tesla 3. Do you have other Tesla 3 owner/customers to whom I can contact to confirm their comments about this bike rack? I want to take it on trips up the CA coast and not have to be concerned that the bikes will rattle and scratch the rear deck paint. Also, is this rated for two ebikes of 48 lb each?

I have an answer for you. I searched the comments and questions on the product page of the RockyMounts MonoRail # RKY10003. Unfortunately, I could not find anyone who owns a Tesla 3 who made comments on the rack. However, with a platform rack like the MonoRail, the part that usually makes the most noise during travel is the hitch pin. With that being said, the RockyMounts MonoRail comes with a threaded anti-rattle hitch pin that slides into the hitch receiver's pin hole. With this hardware, the MonoRail will not rattle during transport.
As far as scratching the rear paint of your Tesla 3, I cannot confirm for sure whether there is enough bumper clearance on your vehicle to accommodate the 5-3/4 inches from the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the MonoRail. If you are concerned about any potential scratching due to a rear bumper clearance, I recommend measuring the distance between your hitch pin hole to the end of the hitch receiver. If you currently do not have a hitch that is compatible with the MonoRail, I would be happy to assist you if you provide the year of your Tesla Model 3.
As far as the weight rating to hold two e-bikes that weigh 48 pounds each, the MonoRail will be able to accommodate that weight. The maximum per-bike weight capacity is 60 pounds per bike.
