How To Install Flat Washer On Carriage Bolt of Draw-Tite 41948 Without Losing Bolt In Frame
Question:
In the video, the technician slips a flat washer in between the hitch and the frame. Im assuming this is on the carriage bolt furthest foward that was fished through the frame. If so, what is the trick to keep from loosing the bolt back inside the frame rail?

You are correct that when installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41948 on your 2016 Ram 1500 the flat washer will get installed in-between the hitch and the frame on the bolt closest to the front of the truck that you installed using the fish wire.
The trick to make sure you do not lose the bolt is pushing it up very carefully and just enough to slide the washer in. You want to make sure the other 4 bolts holding the hitch up are very loose allow the hitch to sit away from the frame so it does not get pushed all the way into the frame for the washer to fit.
I included a link to the installation video of the # 41948 for you to take a look at.
