Is Draw-Tite 36114 Installed Correctly on 2019 Acura RDX
Question:
Good Morning I had a draw tite hitch#36114 installed on my 2019 Acura RDX. I’m not sure if it was installed properly or not. It sticks out about 6” from the bumper. It also took over 2 1/2 hours to be installed which seems like a long time and it looks as if they had to drill some holes. I took it to a company that installs hitches. I have enclosed pics and would love to hear your opinion. Thanks

The Draw-Tite Class II hitch, part # 36114 does NOT require drilling to install, as it's intended to attach to the vehicle using pre existing holes in the vehicle's frame as shown in the installation instructions that I've linked for you. Draw-Tite tells us that a qualified professional installer should be able to complete the installation in about 30 minutes.
Every now and then, an oddity will come along where the holes aren't there but this is pretty rare occurrence. We haven't had the opportunity to install this hitch yet but I do have a customer installation photo I'll share with you. It's kind of hard to tell if your hitch extends further from the vehicle than it should, because your photos and the ones I have aren't from the same exact angle. It looks as if your hitch might be a little further rearward than it should, but it's very difficult to tell given the camera angles.
