Does Installation of etrailer Brand e98843 Hitch Require Modifying 2020 Kia Sorento

Although the etrailer brand # e98841 Class III hitch you'd looked at isn't a fit for the 2020 Kia Sorento, we do offer a Class III fit, part # e98843.

As you can see in the linked install video which shows the # e98843 hitch being installed on a 2020 Sorento, we didn't need to do any trimming or modification to the bumper.

If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # HM11143965 if the vehicle is equipped with the factory tow package or # 118583 if it is NOT equipped with the factory tow package. The linked video for the # HM11143965 will show where the factory tow package connectors are located. If you're unsure how your Sorento was equipped, you're Kia dealer will be able to tell you if you provide them with the VIN.

You'll also need a ball mount, part # D-28 and a # PC3 hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.

The only trailer wiring options we have for your 2021 Kia Sorento are ones like the #TK26FR which install by plugging inline with the vehicle's taillight wiring. We do not have anything that would plug into any factory wiring.
