Today we'll be reviewing part number BWPMHD14001. This is the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two inch hitches. It's a six hole design rated at 16,000 pounds. The hitch mounted adapter plate is going to provide a mounting point for your pintle hook which is sold separately. The six holes provide two different mounting points that lets you customize the height of the pintle. The mounting holes are separated from center of one hole to the center of the other by an inch and three quarters of an inch.
You can use this in either of the drop or rise position. It's made from a sturdy steel construction also providing a nice high gloss black powder coat finish that's going to help stand up against corrosion. This does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock which is sold separately and you can refer to the products product page under related items to view those products. Now, we'll go over a few measurements for you. We have an overall length about nine and one quarter of an inch. Our mounting plate dimensions, we have five inches wide by five and one quarter inch tall. Our shank length is about nine inches and the distance from the center of our hitch pin hole to our mounting plate measures six and one eighth of an inch.
From the center of our hitch pin hole to the back of our shank we have two and a half inches. This is a nice solid shank. Now, we'll go ahead and install it and show you how it looks. Slide the shank in to the receiver tube of the hitch and we'll secure it with our pin and clip and then we can take our pintle hook which is sold separately and today we are using part number 63014. We can use the top two mounting holes or we could use the bottom two mounting holes. We could also flip this over to the rise position and again we could use our top two mounting holes or the bottom two mounting holes.
Again, this has have a capacity of 16,000 pounds. It is designed to work with a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver. That's going to complete today's review of part number BWPMHD14001. This is the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two inch hitches. .

The pintle is great product you can use it on many different trailers . The solid hitch is great as well This hitch is great when the wire are not as long . I can 't complain they are great and are rated for 16000 pounds.

Very heavy, solid steel. Really made for if you have a jacked 4x4 truck and need to lower the hitch . Runs low on a standard suspension rear wheel drive truck. Turned it up to not drag the ground.

Your company was excellent to work with. Box broke open during shipping and empty box missing heavy hitch was delivered, we happened to be out of town. Wyoming known for wind blew box away. After finger pointing,figured out what had happened. Your company sent a reordered hitch out before all facts known. And covered cost . Great product and the price can’t be beat. Solid steel shank, 1/2” steel mounting surface, and a 1/2” steel brace that runs the entire length of the mounting plate for extra rigidity. This thing is solid.
