Troubleshooting Propane Issues With RV Appliances

Question:

I have installed a FS08B1 Fogatti Tankless Water heater, ran fine for ten days. Left the camper for one week. Now if you turn on the hot water faucet a quarter turn you get normal hot water, but if you turn if half way you get noting but cold water, you can watch the remote temp monitor , then if just stops all together and then the water heater shuts down, the temp sensor still has power but the water heater it self shuts down. since installing the hot water heater I am also unable to run both the propane stove and the fogatti at the same time, it seems the propane pressure is not enough for both too run, question what size regulator do I need?

The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - White Item # LSB64FR has a minimum pressure requirement of 8" WC and a maximum pressure of 13" WC. Any pressure outside of that range will cause the # LSB64FR to not properly work. It sounds like you might need to replace the regulator since you can't run the stove and water heater at the same time.

Depending on your setup if you have a larger single tank you could need a vertical 2 stage regulator like the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet Item # 108220 or a horizontal 2 stage regulator like the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet Item # 108221.

If you have a dual tank system you could need the Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator Item # 37207-30395.

You'll want to have a certified technician complete the install of the regulator to ensure the safety of you and your equipment.
