What Capacity 5th Wheel Hitch Is Needed for 2,000 Lb Pin Weight

Hi, If my tongue weight is around 2000pounds what capacity 5th wheel hitch I need to install on my drive vehicle more than hitch weight or less. Is there any calculation needed please suggest

There are a few considerations you need to make when selecting a fifth wheel hitch. In regards to weight, you must be within both the vertical load (pin weight) as well as the gross trailer weight. The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 for example has a 4,000 lb vertical load and 16,000 lb gross trailer weight rating. This should be more than enough for your needs.
