Wiring For Brake Controller In A 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Without Factory Tow Package
Question:
We have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and are purchasing an E-Pro 15TB camper to tow with it. Our Wrangler DOES NOT have the factory tow package. However, I have installed a receiver that I purchased from etrailer a few months back. I want to purchase the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller Item # RED44FR and wiring for signals, etc. What items or kit would you suggest for me to have the cleanest install i.e., hidden wires, etc.? I dont mind digging into wiring and would just like it to look good visually. Im kinda OCD like that. Thanks for your help!

To wire your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for a brake controller, and because you don't have a tow package, you are going to need the following items:
Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Item # RED44FR. This brake controller provide all the same functions as a typical brake controller only with a smaller foot print inside the vehicle cab.
T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Item # 118786. This gives you your 4 pole wiring that will connect directly to the back of your factory tail lights.
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Item # ETBC7 which connects to the 4 pole plug from the T-One harness. It provides you with the additional 3 wires to route up to the front of the vehicle. One is connected to the battery and the other to the brake controller wiring. The third is a reverse light wire which does not have to be used.
I have provided a few links to videos for you to take a look at.
