Electric Trailer Jack EJ-3520-BBX Will Lower But Not Rise
Question:
I have a 2019 venture stratus that has this jack on it. the jack goes fine going down, however the light on the jack and the rise function do not work. there is no noise being made from the jack like the motor is even trying to work. where would I start to troubleshoot this issue and figure out what is wrong with it.

We can try and help you out here, and there's a number of possible issues, but the first thing you'll want to do is use the hand crank to make sure the jack can raise, as this will tell you if there is an issue with the gears being stripped or damaged on the Electric Jack # EJ-3520-BBX.
If you can't get the jack to go up with the hand crank, that means the gears have been damaged and it will need to be replaced with either the Black # EJ-3520-BBX or White # EJ-3520-WBX.
Hopefully that's not the case though, and the next thing you'll want to do is check your ground. We often see that a poor ground connection can cause an issue with the jack (as well as the light) being weak, and ensuring your ground is good, free of any corrosion, may remedy the issue. This jacks grounds via its mount, so try and removing the jack, checking to ensure it is mounted to clean, bare metal, and re-mounting it.
