You will need to refer to you vehicle specific owners manual as to whether your 2007 Suzuki XL7 can be flat towed; trim levels, transmission options and other vehicle specific options all need to be considered to determine if a vehicle can be flat towed safely and without damage occurring. If you determine that your 2007 Suzuki XL7 can be flat towed you will need the following items:
A base plate kit. I suggest the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit, # DM9518137. This is a confirmed fit for the 2007 Suzuki XL7.
I suggest the Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar - Victory Series, # DM9511012. This has the needed safety cables with it.
For brake lights I suggest the Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights - 20' Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector
Item # TL21RK as these are the most cost effective way for needed indicator lights when flat towing.
It is now require by law to add a supplemental brake system for vehicles being flat towed, I recommend the Stay-IN-Play DUO, Item # SM99251.
