What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Bulldog winch cargo mesh net. The mesh net we're gonna be focusing on today is gonna be eight by 12 foot. Now this is pretty big, so maybe too big for a truck bed depending on what kind of load you got back there. So we use it on our trailer today.

If this one's a little bit too big for you there are some other sizes. There is gonna be a six by six foot one and there's gonna also be a six by eight foot one. So it's gonna be great for tying down any of your loads. Nice and evenly that goes over top of it. So it's not just a couple spots where we're pulling down really hard.

Then that's gonna pull down and keep these boxes in today is what we have. One of the nice things about this mesh net is that it can breathe. So it's not necessarily great from keeping it keeping your cargo safe from the elements but it's gonna let it breathe. As in, it's not gonna collect humidity underneath the tarp Air can get out of there. And that means your cargo's gonna be mildew free as well.

The mesh that's also going to dampen that wind as it hits your cargo. So it's gonna be able to filter through there and not be as aggressive. It definitely helps with all the straps that come included. We have three straps on each side, and then the perimeter recorder on the outside has 24 hooks included. Now you can use as many of them as you need to, but we got them hooked to a bunch of different tie-on points all around the trailer which shows you that the net does not move a whole lot.

This is me trying to shake it back and forth. I'm sure it's moving a little bit at the strap but you can see it's not going anywhere. This is one of the cam buckle straps you get. We have three of 'em on each side that comes with a carabiner and it's really easy to hook up. You hook it up to the D ring on the net. You just go like that and then take the strap and pull it tight with the other end put to a tie on point on the trailer we have it on one of the built in tie down points. It's got a coated hook on the other side that makes it really easy to go ahead and find somewhere to hook up to. And you don't have to worry about it damaging the trailer. Another thing I like is the nylon hooks. You don't have to use all 24 of 'em. You just use 'em where you want them or where do you think a little more tightness is needed on the mash cover. The net itself feels pretty heavy duty. I like that about it. I can pull on it and doesn't feel like it's gonna rip on me. So that makes me feel better about hauling maybe more aggressive cargo than I have now. Not just boxes, but except for the sharper edges or maybe a load of sticks you wanna get rid of you don't have to worry about it catching on there and ripping it. Now the primary stretch cord here was pretty easy to run it through all of the garments built into the mesh cover. We having some extra over here, which it's not bad to have extra because you don't know what kind of load you're gonna carry. So if it's a little bit bigger than this this might need to be the tarp might need to be up. So you're gonna use more of this cord so you can use as much or as little as you want of it. That's what I suggest. Just tying a knot and keeping the extra underneath the tart. Let's see how easy it is to setup this is mesh net. So I've already got one side attached. Just gonna make it easier since I'm doing by myself to drag it over this side I'll show you how we made the connections. So just walk over, grab one corner. You can use a second set of hands too to drag the net up and over the load that's in your trailer. Get it mostly in place. I'm gonna have to walk over here a little bit to pull this corner. Pull in our mesh net corner to about here I think is pretty good. It gives us access to all the points that we wanna tie down. So right away, I'll start the back, take our carabiner hook it up to our D-ring right there, and then bring the coated hook over to the attachment point on the trailer It could really be anywhere we want it to be but this happens to be right here. So that's gonna work for us. Come back up to the strap, pull that tight. Now don't go too tight right away because it's gonna pull the whole net back a little bit. So we'll go to the front and attach that one. That way they're pulling together. Same thing, put that in place and pull the other end of the strap to get it really tight. Here at the center, we're gonna hook up down here just to get a little more space in between that center D-ring that gets pulled a little tighter there. There we go. Now with it tied down as much as it is we might as well be safe and do the rest of 'em. So we're gonna have the hooks on the perimeter cord very easy to install and remove. Just show you how to put it on there. You just grab the cord. It's gonna fit into that groove. You just pull on it and snaps into place. So now you can put these wherever you want along the outside. We noticed there's an eyelid on the strap. Something we like to do, thought was a good idea to go ahead and put that in the carabiner as well. That way you don't have it going around a bunch just loose. It's gonna keep it contained right there. Now when you're done using it, you can roll it up and put it in a bag that it comes with, which is nice. It's not as bad to get in the bag as you think. I kind of kept all the hooks and the perimeter cord all on here, hold it up on the inside, and we'll put it in our bag. Once you push it down in the bag enough it was easy to hold the outside bag and push in on the net to push it in place. But at least it's all together now and not taking on that much space. Overall, I really like the mesh net. I like how it keeps the cargo contained with all the tie down straps and the perimeter cords and hooks. It really does keep that net from moving a whole lot. So I really think it's gonna be coming handy with yard work whether you're using it on a trailer or a truck keeping that mulch or that gravel contained cuz we've all been on the highway and been stuck stuff behind that guy who doesn't have a net and we see stuff bouncing out.
