The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e89YR you were looking at for your 2020 Ford Escape will not require any drilling any new holes for it to be installed. However, you may need to use a drill, file, or rotory tool to enlarge the existing hole. You will need to open up the access hole on each side of the frame to fit the 1/2" carriage bolts through, and will need to trim the heat shield.

If you are planning on towing with your vehicle you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # TE54FR.
