To use a Curt hitch you'll just need to use the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Ford and Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package Item # C88KR to attach it to your new 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500.
The recommended trailer wiring is the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector and Cover Plate - 7' Long Item # C53CR.
For a short beds sliders are definitely helpful because they'll give you extra clearance when making turns. Most sliders will require you to get out of the cab and pull a lever to allow the hitch to slide when needed for a turn or you can get an auto-slider which will do all of the work for you.
