I have a 5th wheel it has a hand crank and want to put a landing gear motor and switch kit . The hand gear plate is stamped venture mfg but #s are painted ?

The # LG-217884 landing gear motor you referenced is indeed compatible with your industry-standard Venture landing gear, per Stromberg Carlson.

The spark-free switch assembly is safe for use around propane bottles.

There is no alternate gear box available but you may be able to install a second motor and switch, #LG-217884, so that each motor is only doing half the work. This will help the motors to last longer and should raise the trailer a little faster. You…

It's probably time for a new motor and gear box like you suspected. The part #LC276602 that you referenced is the correct gear box and then for a motor #LC196308 and you'd be set.
