Question:
What is the difference between these 2 hitches? They look the same and are the same price. 1. Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # 13534 2. etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2 Item # e98858

Expert Reply:
Other than the fact that the Curt # 13534 uses a gloss powder coat finish and the etrailer.com brand # e98858 hitch uses a matte finish powder coat, there's no difference between the two hitches. Curt manufactures the etrailer.com brand hitches for us, so you know it's a high quality product.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, a ball mount and a trailer ball to complete your towing setup. For a wiring harness, use part # 118449, a ball mount like # 2753 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
I've linked to installation videos for the hitches and wiring harness mentioned above.
