For your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado you will only need a couple more parts. I have linked a video below of the installation process on your Silverado. In the video they are using the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for the installation which you can choose to also use or stick with the Pollak 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket w/ Wiring Harness # PK11898.
If you are using the Pollak connector you will need the Jacketed 2 Wire # 12-2-1 which is sold by the foot. Our installation kit includes 25' of this wire that will fit most all vehicles.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 for your Silverado. You will also need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3025-P to complete the brake controller installation.
