Brake Controller Installation On 2009 Lexus RX 350

Question:

TV: 2009 Lexus RX350 with factory tow package installed. Curt Class III hitch and 4-pin wiring harness installed. Trailer: 2014 Coachmen Clipper 17RQ - approximately 2800 pounds, dry. I purchased a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller and Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Toyota and Lexus for my Lexus which has the tow package installed. The RV dealership is having difficulty installing the brake controller on my vehicle. Could someone provide any instructions or feedback on this particular installation? Anyone done this before? For your 2009 Lexus RX350, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers, part # ETBC7. To make this work with your brake controller and your RX350 wiring, there are a few wiring connections you need to make. I have attached a link to an installation video that shows how to wire the brake controller as well as the # ETBC7 kit. I have also attached a photo of the ETBC7 7-way, which shows where the wires are to be connected. This will make sure you have enough wire to connect the 7-way connector on the # ETBC7 and brake controller.
