How Much Drop Can Curt Weight Distribution System do With Trunnion System

How much will this provide with a trunion style WD hitch? I need 8-9” of with my new Dodge 2500. Hitch is 24” to top of receiver, and trailer tongue is 15” to bottom of coupler. I have a Reece trunion style WD hitch with 4” now. Thank you!

The Curt weight distribution shank part # C17132 that you referenced can do up to an 9-1/4 inch drop with a trunnion bar setup like you mentioned. This works with a Reese weight distribution system as well.

I checked with Curt and the weight distribution shank part #C17132 that you referenced is rated for 15,000 lbs total trailer weight and 1,500 lbs tongue weight.

Yes, you can use the Curt shank #C17124 with a Fastway e2 weight distribution system. The shank has 3/4 inch bolt holes to mount the head and they are spaced 1-1/4 inches apart on center. This is the same as what the e2 system requires.
