Will a Reese 16K 5th Wheel Hitch fit the Valley Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Adapter Plate

Is this Reese 5th wheel hitch 30047 compatible for use with the Valley, Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Adaptor Plate, part no. V70880? I currently have the Valley Turnover Ball Hitch in my 2001 Dodge 2500 pickup with an 8ft bed.

The Valley gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter # V70880 is compatible with the following 5th wheel trailer hitches:

Valley: 15,000-lb, 16,000-lb and 20,000-lb capacities
Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese: 15,000-lb, 16,000-lb and 18,000-lb capacities
Curt: 16,000-lb capacity

So it will be compatible with trailer hitch # RP30047. The adapter is designed to work with Valley Stow-A-Ball gooseneck trailer hitches. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the adapter for you to view.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
