Bumper Fascia Trimming Needed For Trailer Hitch on 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport
Question:
I need a hitch to pull a tear camper. Do you have any pics of the final install? I know some trimming may need to be done to the rear bumper or I buy a new trim piece designed for a hitch from the dealer. Im hoping the exhaust system can remain in the factory position. Wiring harness will be complete concealed....correct?

We can get you set up with a hitch and wiring harness for your 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport, and let's go ahead and start with the correct hitch:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13396
I have added a photo that a customer sent in of this hitch installed on their Discovery Sport for you, as well as a cut out from the instructions which show the amount of trimming you'll need to do on the bumper fascia for the receiver. There is also an underbody trim panel which needs to be trimmed but this will not be noticeable.
In regards to the exhaust, it will remain in the factory position and will not need to be moved. I have added a link below to the installation instructions for you to check out as well. Let's move on to the wiring harness for your '17 Discovery Sport, which is the following:
- T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56297
This harness does mount on the exterior of your vehicle, and will be concealed unless you decide to trim more of the bumper fascia for it to show. To mount it you can use Mounting Bracket # 18144, which will secure directly to the hitch via screws.
