Installing T-One Harness # 118501 on 2013 Hyundai Tucson
Question:
I just watched the video on wiring the 2013 Santa Fe, but I havent been able to find out how to wire a 2013 Tucson. I know that I need a different kit, but is the wiring basically the same as the Santa Fe. I plan on buying the hidden hitch and wiring kit for the Tucson and read the reviews and they say the instructions are vague for the wiring. Is there anywhere online where I can find the intructions for the Tucson? Thank you.

The instructions included with the # 118501 wiring harness for your 2013 Tucson are a bit on the vague side. The procedure is different from the Santa Fe harness you mentioned.
The first step in the install involves removing the tail light assemblies (as if you were changing a burned out taillight bulb). Disconnect the manufacturers wiring harness from the rear of the assemblies.
You will then need to remove the spare tire cover (cargo area floor) and threshold. Then, locate and remove the existing grommet on the underside of the vehicle shown in figure D of the instructions.
Then, go in the cargo area of the vehicle, and feed the T-connector ends under the side trim panel and out the hole in the vehicle floor, as shown in diagram E in the instructions. Seal the hole with the grommet, leaving the converter box and 4-pole in the cargo area. The T-connector with the yellow/brown wires will pass up through the cavity between the vehicle body and the bumper cover on the drivers side, and will connect inline between the tail light assembly and the vehicle wiring harness. The T-connector with the green/red wires will pass up over the brackets holding the bumper in place (staying as far as possible away from the exhaust) and up through the cavity under the passenger side tail light, just as the drivers side one did. It would also connect inline with the vehicle wiring harness and taillight assembly.
Then, attach the white ground wire that exits the converter box. Use the included self-tapping screw to attach the white wire to one of the metal interior panels in the cargo area, somewhere under the threshold you removed would be fine.
This leaves the power wire, the red/black striped wire that exits grommet to the underside of the vehicle. Use the included butt connector to attach the length of black wire, and route to the vehicle battery along the underside of the vehicle, being sure to avoid anything hot like the exhaust or anything that is moving like suspension or steering components. You can see the procedure for connecting the fuse holder to the battery by watching the video you referred to (see link) and fast forwarding to the 6:15 minute mark.
