How To Determine Correct Blue Ox Hitch Extender to Clear Tailgate For Cargo Carrier
Question:
I need a hitch extender so that my cargo rack will fit with the tail gate down. Will the Blue Ox 6 3/4-8 3/4 be long enough, or should i get the 8-10?

In order to get the right Blue Ox hitch extender, what you will need to do is simply measure the distance from the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of your cargo carrier, and then measure from the hitch pin hole to the edge of your truck's tailgate with it down. The difference will be the correct extender for your truck.
For example, if it measured 22 inches to the edge of your tailgate, and 12 inches to the closest edge of your carrier, to make up the difference you would need the Blue Ox Hitch Extender for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 12" Extension # BX88264.
Or for up to 8-3/4 inches of difference you would need the Blue Ox Hitch Extender for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 6-3/4" or 8-3/4" Extension # BX88265.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well of both parts.
