Recommended Hitch and Bike Rack for a 2016 BMW 4 Series
Question:
Hi, I want to install a new rear hitch then bike rack for 2 regular non-electric bikes. My car is a 2016 BMW 428i 4 door Gran Coupe. I don’t want the hitch install to require any modifications to the vehicle. Id like the bike rack to be a simple install to the hitch with stabilizer arms and placement for wheels. A pull out rack so I can open the hatchback would be great. Can you recommend parts? Thanks for your assistance.

We have a great hitch for you!
It's the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver, part # SH84VR. It has a maximum tongue weight of 350 pounds. It requires several pieces of the vehicle to be removed for installation (as you can see in the video I linked to below), but nothing needs to be cut or modified. If you want to tow a trailer with this hitch at some point, you will need the towing kit for it, part # 391CONVA7.
As for the bike rack, I recommend the Swagman Chinook, part # S64683. It can support 2 bikes up to 45 pounds each and has both the tilt-away and fold-up features. It's a frame-mount rack with wheel cradles. I've linked to a video review below.
