Replacement For Idler Hub Using 07100 Inner and 07087 Outer Bearings

Question:

Good Evening, I’m working on an old trailer, roughly 4x8. The old hubs required wheels with larger ID hub openings. I’m putting 4.80-12” wheels/tires with a 5-4-1/2 on. Old hubs had inner bearings 07100 and outlets were 07087 with 12437 seal. I can’t seem to find a new hub with these specs. Can you help me out? Thanks

Unfortunately, we don't offer any hubs that are compatible with the bearing set you mentioned.

You'll likely find that your best bet would be replace the existing axle with something that uses spindles that are compatible with hubs that use bearings that are more common. If you can provide the hub face to hub face dimension and the center to center distance between the spring seats where the leaf springs attach to the axle, I can check to see if we offer a compatible axle.

Another option would be an axle-less suspension from Timbren,.like part # ASR2KHDS01. This system provides a rubber Aeon spring suspension would allow you to remove the existing leaf springs, which will quiet your suspension considerably. This system uses a standard spindle that's compatible with an easily obtainable standard 3500 lb capacity idler hub like # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K. The hub includes the bearings, races, grease seal, lug nuts and grease cap.

I've linked to a product demonstration video for the Timbren Axle-Less suspension I mentioned above.
