I need a1990 FORD F250 XLT Lariat tailgate assist kit. Torsion bar OR hydraulic cylinder? which is best and why? do you have them for my truck? Respectfully

Each type of lift assist would have its' own benefits and drawbacks, so it's hard to say which is best. Typically a hydraulic cylinder replacement has more that can wear out on it and a torsion bar might require a bit more in depth installation. For your 1990 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat the only available tail gate lift assist is the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211, which is a torsion bar that will help make closing the tail gate a breeze. There is drilling required for the installation of this lift assist.
