For the trailer wiring on your 2018 Kia Rio, you will need # 118793. This will simply plug into your factory taillight wiring connector, no cutting or splicing is required. You will then run the white wire to bare metal for ground, and the black wire to the positive terminal on the battery. Instructions are included.

Always be sure not to exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle, which will be in your owner's manual or can be found by contacting the manufacturer of your vehicle.
