Recommended Suspension Upgrade for 2017 Montana 3000RE Tandem Axle Trailer with 16000-lbs GVWR

Question:

I have a 2017 Montana 3000RE tandum axle 5th wheel. GVW is 16000#. I recently had a spring break and the inside of the rig takes a beating when traveling. Can you give me a couple options on what to do smooth out the ride for the trailer?

I recommend using the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks - Tandem 8K, 3-1/2" Axles # RM-2470-2580, which takes the best of both worlds by upgrading your leaf springs and adding a shock system. This will do a great job of reducing the roughness of the ride during travel and also help limit sway, so it's going to smooth out the ride and make it safer.

If you can confirm that you've got a 3-1/2" diameter, 8000-lbs axle this system would work well. If you've got 7k axles you'll want to use the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers - Tandem 7K Trailer Axles # RM-2460-2570.

I've linked a review video we did of this system for you to check out.
