Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2018 Kia Soul for Motorcycle Carrier
Question:
Hello, I have a 2018 Kia Soul that I am trying to purchase a hitch for. I want to tow a carrier with my cbr300r which weighs approximately 365lbs. But it looks like all the tongue capacity are 200-350lbs. Can I use the carrier with the cbr or do i have to trailer it? But I also have a crf 100 that weighs about 175 and the carrier I would like weighs around 50lbs I’m thinking that should be safe with the carrier correct? Also I am leaving towards the eco hitch cause I’m the video it says 350lb tongue weight but your webs site says 200lb. Can you please verify this?

For your 2018 Kia Soul, there is not a trailer hitch receiver from any of our manufacturers rated for the capacity you are seeking for your CBR300r but the CRF100 will be compatible. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7326 is your best option and is limited to a 300 lb tongue weight maximum. I checked with the manufacturer to confirm this and you should also note the vehicle itself won't be rated high enough for a larger capacity hitch to make any difference. Th EcoHitch's rated tongue weight will be able to carry the 175 lb bike and the 50 lbs carrier without issue.
The 2 inch hitch receiver does offer many options for ball mounts if you decide you want to trailer your CBR or the two bikes at some point.
