MaxxAir Roof Vent Fan Lid Won't Stop Opening

I have a Maxxair roof vent and when opening motors continues to run but tries to stop but doesnt. Are the gears and stop switch all contained in the motor assembly? Thank you.

In regards to a MaxxAir Roof Vent Fan, if the motor is not stopping this is likely an issue with the operator mechanism so that is what I recommend replacing, part # MA10-20281K-1AF or part # MA10-20281K-3CF. If you can provide me with the model number under the screen I can make sure you get the correct one.
