My contact at MaxxAir advised that there are three potential causes for the beep and no fan motion you're experiencing with your MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-04000K.

One potential cause is that the unit was wired with incorrect polarity. Make sure the white wire is grounded and the black wire is connected to your 12V power source (of at least 5-amps). Another possible reason for the malfunction is low incoming voltage. Use a voltmeter like # PT89ZR to make sure your battery is delivering the required voltage (no less than 11-volts).

The other possibility is that the circuit board in the fan is damaged, so try the above two checks to first eliminate those possibilities.

fan light is on showing auto mode....but will not run....this occurred after hitting multiple buttons on the fan itself during the night....green led light came on, remote won't respond, fan does not run....even when over 78 degrees.....how can I get it to go back to default operation from the remote.

To reset your MaxxFan Plus you're going to need to disconnect it from power manually. If this isn't something that you're comfortable with doing then you'll need to have a qualified electrician come out and help you with that.

@JonG I have the same issue with a MAXXFAN Deluxe 6200K. Disconnecting it and reconnecting allows it to work for a few minutes, but then the auto mode light comes back on and nothing works. I'm thinking the circuit board has an issue.

@KenC If you have adjusted the thermostat on your MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06200K and it keeps shutting off when it should be running then that does sound like it could be the circuit board. The replacement circuit board is part # MA10A21276K.

Hello... my MaxxAir fan still works, but while it’s spinning at a high rate it stopped exchanging much air... like even at 100%. What could be causing this?

That is a bit strange. Everything with the vent/fan seems to be working correctly with regards to operation, motor, etc? Have you tried reversing the fan direction to see if it helps at all?

@ChrisR Thank you for replying! I have tried swapping directions. It seems to be pulling a little bit of air around the edges, but I used to be able to put my hand up to the spinning fan and feel the breeze coming through the whole fan, now it's just the edges. I know it sounds crazy, but I am as confused as it sounds.

@Dana Thanks for the info. I'm sure you've checked this, but is there anything you can see that might be blocking air flow? Debris, leaves, etc?

My fan works but it no longer closes. It was gradual, there were times we could not get it open.

It sounds like the lift operator on your MaxxAir Vent has seen better days. To replace this you can use part # MA10-20281K-3CF and this should hopefully resolve the issue.
