What is the Weight of the Curt Trailer Hitch 12343
Question:
What are the package size in weight?
asked by: John C
Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12343 has a shipping weight of 24-lbs; about 1-1/2 to 2-lbs of that is going to be the packaging. This hitch does come with all of the hardware needed to install your hitch.
If you're going to be towing with this hitch, you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. For the wiring I recommend using the Tekonsha # 118405 because I've found that the Tekonsha harness converter boxes are a bit more reliable over time. For the hitch ball I recommend using either the Curt # C45571 (for 1-7/8" couplers) or Curt # C45572 (for 2" couplers).
I've linked some installation and review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
